Pulsed-RF treatment of a nerve

What is a Pulsed-RF treatment?
Pulsed-RF stands for Pulsed Radiofrequency Denervation. During a Pulsed-RF treatment, one or more nerves that provide pain conduction in the area where the pain is located are treated. The nerve is treated with "current pulses" for 6 minutes, modulating (affecting) the nerve's pain conduction without damaging it.

When do you qualify for Pulsed-RF treatment?
Pulsed-RF treatment is often performed in patients with chronic pain that does not respond adequately to conservative treatments such as physical therapy or injections. It is particularly considered for conditions such as neuropathic pain, joint pain, back pain with radiation to the leg, and other conditions in which nerve pain plays an important role.
