Regenerative medicine
At GOED Medical Center, the self-healing ability of the body is the focus. Treatments such as PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) and Micronized Fat+ promote the natural healing of joints, tendons, ligaments and nerves.
Philosophy GOED Medical Center
“Regenerative where possible, minimally invasive if necessary".
After intake, physical examination and additional testing, we will assess your eligibility for regenerative medicine. Within regenerative medicine, we use PRP and Micronized Fat+ to reduce your symptoms.
If you do not qualify for regenerative medicine, we have several options within conventional pain management or minimally invasive surgery to reduce your pain symptoms.
What is a PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) treatment?
In PRP, blood is drawn from the patient and centrifuged, concentrating the platelets into plasma with a higher concentration of growth factors. This is then placed in and around the damaged tissue, such as joints, tendons, ligaments and nerves, to optimize the repair process and reduce inflammation.
GOOD Medical Center distinguishes itself from other clinics by using a high concentration of PRP. This allows us to have better results with fewer injections. Also, we have a laboratory where we measure the concentration of platelets and white blood cells. With these measurements, we know what we are injecting and can thus monitor and improve the quality of treatment.
What is a Micronized Fat+ treatment?
Micronized Fat+ is a treatment that uses your own body cells to optimize the repair process and reduce inflammation. The idea is that this has a longer and more effective effect than PRP alone.
Micronized Fat+ combines two powerful components:
- Micronized Fat: A cell-rich fraction obtained from your own adipose tissue by liposuction. It contains repair cells, pericytes, endothelial cells and other cells that help repair and regenerate damaged joint tissue.
- PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma).: Plasma from your own blood with a high concentration of platelets and growth factors. These platelets play a crucial role in the healing process by releasing growth factors that stimulate cell regeneration and tissue repair.
Regenerative medicine as opposed to corticosteroids
With regenerative medicine, we aim for a sustainable and long-term solution. Corticosteroids in particular have a short-term effect but can adversely affect long-term recovery. PRP and Micronized Fat are an effective long-term treatment and have a positive effect on the body's recovery.
Important to know
You are only eligible for treatment at GOED Medical Center after a referral from your primary care physician or medical specialist.
