Arthrosamid

"Regenerative where you can, minimally invasive when you have to."

What is an Arthrosamid treatment?

Do you have knee osteoarthritis? Arthrosamid® is a new type of treatment and an effective alternative to current therapies. Based on an innovative, non-degradable hydrogel technology, Arthrosamid® consists of 97.5% of water, and 2.5% of a cross-linked polyacrylamide structure. Arthrosamid® is injected into your knee and over several weeks fuses with the inner lining, the synovia tissue, of the knee. This makes the tissue stronger, thicker and more flexible, and forms a natural barrier to inflammatory cells. This reduces pain and swelling, and improves the mobility of the knee.

In addition, it helps restore the normal production of synovial fluid, which provides better lubrication, shock absorption and nutrition to cartilage.

Arthrosamid® provides safe and lasting pain relief; all with one injection. You will get moving again!

More about Arthrosamid

How is it different from other injections in the knee?

Arthrosamid® differs from other injections such as Hyaluronic Acid (HA), Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP, ACP) and regenerative stem cell therapy. Unlike these treatments, Arthrosamid® becomes an integrated part of the soft synovial tissue, the inner lining of the joint capsule, and can work longer. Clinical studies show that patients continue to benefit from it after 4 years.

After treatment with Arthrosamid® it is possible, if necessary, to apply other treatments. Also, if there is no other way, a prosthesis can still be placed.
