Een hernia ontstaat wanneer het zachte weefsel van de tussenwervelschijf uitpuilt door een zwakke plek in de omringende kraakbeenring. Hierdoor kunnen zenuwen bekneld raken, wat kan leiden tot pijn, gevoelloosheid en tintelingen in de rug, nek, armen of benen, afhankelijk van de locatie van de hernia.<\/p>\n

Kanaalstenose is een aandoening waarbij het wervelkanaal vernauwd raakt, wat leidt tot compressie van het ruggenmerg en\/of zenuwwortels. Veelvoorkomende klachten bij kanaalstenose zijn pijn, gevoelloosheid, zwakte en verminderde functie in de gebieden die worden ge\u00efnnerveerd door de aangetaste zenuwen.<\/p>\n

Om een hernia of kanaalstenose te behandelen wordt bij GOED Medisch Centrum soms gebruikgemaakt van een transforaminale injectie. Dit is een behandeling waarbij medicatie rechtstreeks bij de zenuwwortel wordt ge\u00efnjecteerd, via de openingen tussen de wervels. Dit is een effectieve methode om ontsteking en pijn te verminderen die wordt veroorzaakt door een hernia of kanaalstenose.<\/p>\n

Een epidurale injectie is een behandeling waarbij ontstekingsremmende medicatie wordt ge\u00efnjecteerd in de ruimte rond het ruggenmerg, om zo ontsteking en pijn te verminderen. Het verschil met een transforaminale injectie is dat bij een epidurale injectie de medicatie gelijkmatig wordt verspreid rond het ruggenmerg, terwijl bij een transforaminale injectie de medicatie specifiek wordt gericht op een specifieke zenuwwortel door de openingen tussen de wervels.<\/p>\n

Pulsed-RF staat voor Gepulseerde Radiofrequente Denervatie. Tijdens een Pulsed-RF behandeling bij GOED Medisch Centrum worden er \u00e9\u00e9n of meerdere zenuwen behandeld die de pijngeleiding verzorgen in het gebied waar de pijn zich bevindt. SI-gewrichtspijn is een aandoening die wordt veroorzaakt door irritatie, ontsteking of instabiliteit van het \u2018sacro-iliacale gewricht\u2019. Dit gewricht is gelegen tussen het heiligbeen (sacrum) en het bekken (ilium). SI-gewrichtsklachten manifesteren zich meestal in de onderrug, bilregio en\/of het bekkengebied en kunnen worden verergerd door activiteiten zoals lopen, staan, zitten of draaien.<\/p>\n

Fascet artrose is een aandoening waarbij de gewrichten tussen aangrenzende wervels in de wervelkolom degenereren. Onderzoek toont aan dat ontstekingsprocessen in het gewricht een belangrijke rol spelen in de ontwikkeling van artrose. Dit kan leiden tot pijn, stijfheid en verminderde mobiliteit in de rug. Typische symptomen zijn pijn die verergert bij het buigen, strekken of draaien van de rug.<\/p>\n
