Pulsed-RF staat voor Gepulseerde Radiofrequente Denervatie. Tijdens een Pulsed-RF behandeling worden er \u00e9\u00e9n of meerdere zenuwen behandeld die de pijngeleiding verzorgen in het gebied waar de pijn zich bevindt. De zenuw wordt gedurende 6 minuten met \u2018stroompulsen\u2019 behandeld waardoor de pijngeleiding van de zenuw wordt gemoduleerd (be\u00efnvloed) zonder deze te beschadigen.<\/p>\n

Een Pulsed-RF behandeling wordt vaak uitgevoerd bij pati\u00ebnten met chronische pijn die niet adequaat reageert op conservatieve behandelingen zoals fysiotherapie of injecties. Het wordt met name overwogen voor aandoeningen zoals neuropathische pijn, gewrichtspijn, rugpijn met uitstraling naar het been, en andere aandoeningen waarbij zenuwpijn een belangrijke rol speelt.<\/p>\n
