Hyaluronzuur komt van nature voor in het lichaam en wordt met name aangemaakt in het kapsel van het gewricht. Bij artrose maakt het lichaam zelf niet genoeg hyaluronzuur meer aan, waardoor het gewrichtsvloeistof minder stroperig wordt. Deze stroperige vloeistof helpt schokken beter op te vangen en het beschadigde kraakbeen te beschermen.<\/p>\n

Hyaluronzuur bevordert op een natuurlijke manier het herstel. In tegenstelling tot cortisone behandelingen, heeft hyaluronzuur in het pijnlijke gewricht geen nadelige effecten op de lange termijn.<\/p>\n

Met name bij pati\u00ebnten met lichte artrose (lichte gebruikersschade) en geen overmatig vocht in het gewricht, heeft hyaluronzuur een positief effect.<\/p>\n

Tijdens het eerste consult krijgt u direct een behandeling met hyaluronzuur. Wanneer er na 6 weken geen verbetering merkbaar is, wordt de behandeling niet herhaald. Merkt u na 6 weken enige verbetering? Dan adviseren we een booster met hyaluronzuur binnen een aantal weken. Heeft u na 6 weken geen klachten meer? Dan adviseren we de behandeling te herhalen na 6 maanden. Na 6 maanden is de behandeling uitgewerkt.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Naast de behandeling met hyaluronzuur adviseren we u te starten met een oefenprogramma via onze beweegpoli, of via uw eigen fysiotherapeut. De combinatie van de hyaluronzuur behandeling \u00e9n gerichte oefentherapie leveren op de lange termijn de beste resultaten.<\/p>\n

Na een behandeling met Hyaluronzuur kunt u de eerste dagen een stijf gevoel in en rondom het gewricht hebben. De eerste 2 dagen na de behandeling mag u niet sporten of het gewricht zwaar belasten. Indien nodig kunt u het gewricht koelen. Medicatie zoals Paracetamol mag u gewoon gebruiken (maximaal 4000 mg per dag).<\/p>\n

De zwelling gaat meestal vanzelf over en heeft geen consequenties voor het uiteindelijke resultaat van de behandeling. Wanneer de pijn en zwelling langer dan 5 dagen aanhoudt, dan adviseren we u contact met ons op te nemen. Wordt u na de behandeling ziek of krijgt u koorts? Neem dan direct contact met ons op.<\/p>\n
